San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan and Orlando Magic centre Nikola Vucevic have been named the Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for the games played Mar. 24-30.
San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan was selected as the Western Conference Player of the Week after leading his team to a perfect 4-0 record between Mar. 24-30.
Over the week, the 17-year veteran averaged 20.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks per game while also shooing 62.5% from the floor.
Duncan’s play helped push the Western Conference-leading Spurs current win streak to a franchise record 17 games.
This is Duncan’s first nomination for Player of the Week this season, and the 22nd of his career.

Mar. 24 vs Philadelphia: 19 points (9-12 FG and 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in a 113-91 win.
Mar. 26 vs Denver: 29 points (12-20 FG and 5-6 FT), 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks in a 108-103 win.
Mar. 28 @ Denver: 20 points (9-15 FG and 2-3 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one steal and two blocks in a 133-102 win.
Mar. 29 vs New Orleans: 12 points (5-9 FG and 2-5 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and four blocks in a 96-80 win.
Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic was selected as the Eastern Conference Player of the Week after leading the Magic to their first consecutive wins since Feb. 7.
Over a three-game stretch where the Magic went 2-1. the Swiss international averaged 22.7 points, 14.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks while hitting 58.5% of his shot attempts.
Vucevic recorded a double-double in each of his three games, highlighted by a 24-point and 23-rebound double-double in a five-point win over the playoff-bound Charlotte Bobcats.
This is the first Player of the Week selection in Vucevic’s three-year career.
