Houston Rockets guard James Harden and Washington Wizards guard John Wall have been named the Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played between Feb. 24 and Mar. 2.
Rockets guard James Harden led his team to a 2-1 record over the week, highlighted by a 43-point and eight-assist performance (in only 31:10 minutes of game time) in a 26-point win over the Sacramento Kings, falling just three points shy from setting a new career-high.
Through the three games, Harden averaged 27.0 points (third in the West), 7.7 assists (fifth), 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists (second), while shooting 46.2% from the field, 38.1% from three, and 80.6% from the stripe.
This is Harden’s first Player of the Week selection for the season, the fourth of his career.

Feb. 25 @ Sacramento: 43 points (11-20 FG, 6-19 3FG and 15-16 FT), eight assists, three steals and two rebounds in a 129-103 win.
Feb. 26 @ Los Angeles: 18 points (6-16 FG, 1-6 3FG and 5-7 FT), six rebounds and three assists in a 93-101 loss.
Mar. 1 vs Detroit: 20 points (7-16 FG, 1-6 3FG and 5-8 FT), 12 assists, five rebounds and three steals in a 118-110 win.
Wizards point guard John Wall led Washington to a three-game winning streak during the week, including a thrilling triple-overtime road victory over a resilient Toronto Raptors squad.
Over the three-game stretch, Wall averaged 25.0 points (seventh in the East), 10.7 assists (first), 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals (fifth), while shooting 59.2% from the field, 44.4% from deep, and 81.3% from the line.
This is Wall’s second Player of the Week nomination for the season, the third of his career.
