The Three-Point Shootout field for All-Star Saturday 2014 has been set, featuring five All-Stars.
Headlining the sharpshooting select is reigning Three-Point Shootout champion Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, 2012 winner Kevin Love (Timberwolves), and 2014 All-Stars Stephen Curry (Warriors), Joe Johnson (Nets) and Damian Lillard (Trail Blazers).
Joining them will be Spurs marksman Marco Belinelli (fifth in the league in three-point percentage, 44.3%), Wizards’ gunner Bradley Beal, and Magic guard Arron Afflalo (ninth, 42.6%) who was considered unlucky to miss the All-Star game by many.
Curry leads the NBA in three point makes this season, connecting on 154 shots from downtown so far, Lillard is third with 140, and Love’s 107 triples sees him ranked 13th.
Curry, Love, Irving, Johnson and Lillard will also be lacing them up in the weekend’s showcase event, the All-Star Game.
Meanwhile, Beal is also competing in the Rising Stars Challenge.
However, no one is out-working Lillard, who is participating in all five events during All-Star Weekend (Three-Point Shootout, Dunk Contest, Skills Challenge, Rising Stars Challenge and All-Star Game), which is the first time in NBA history.
