The NBA has announced the starters for the 2014 NBA-Star Game, with LeBron James and Kevin Durant receiving the most votes from fans.

Joining James in the Eastern Conference will be his fellow Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade, Knicks’ forward Carmelo Anthony, Pacers’ forward Paul George, and Cavaliers’ guard Kyrie Irving.

Durant is joined in the Western Conference by Warriors guard Steph Curry, Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, Timberwolves forward Kevin Love and Clippers’ forward Blake Griffin.

Irving and George will be making their first appearances as All-Star Game starters, while Curry is making his All-Star debut after being a consensus snub last season.

Bryant’s place in the West’s starting five has already come under question as the Lakers’ star is currently rehabbing a fracture in his left leg.

The 15-time All-Star has expressed his doubts as to whether he will be healthy enough to participate in his 16th All-Star Game.

“I probably won’t be able to come back (to the Lakers) soon enough to be able to make my stamp or be able to make my mark on a game,” Bryant said.

“So my advice would be to focus on younger players, the Damian Lillards of the world, because they’re more than deserving to be out there and playing that weekend.”

The All-Star game starters are voted for by the public. Fans must select three “frontcourt” and two “backcourt” players.

James led all vote-getters with 1,416,419 selections, while Durant was a close second with 1,396,542 votes.

George (1,211,318) and Curry (1,047,281) were the only other players to receive over 1 million votes.

The benches for each conference are decided by the league’s coaches and will be revealed on January 30.

The 2014 NBA All-Star Game will be played on Sunday, February 16 in New Orleans.
